The Osmio PROMAX-III Ultimate is one of the highest-spec whole-house water filtration systems available, delivering exceptional water quality for every tap in your home. This advanced three-stage configuration combines powerful filtration technologies designed to remove a wide range of contaminants while maintaining strong flow performance.

The system features the new Osmio F-Guard 2-micron specialist carbon filter, specifically designed to target PFAS and fluoride, alongside a 0.5-micron catalytic carbon block that effectively reduces chlorine, chloramine, and chemical tastes and odours. The final stage uses a 0.2-micron Nanceram pleated filter, providing protection against bacteria, cysts, and fine particulates.

Together, these premium filters create an ultra-fine filtration barrier, making the PROMAX-III one of the most advanced filter housing and cartridge configurations Osmio has produced. For optimal performance and to maintain excellent flow throughout the home, the system requires a minimum standing pressure of 3 bar.

The Osmio PROMAX-III Ultimate Whole House Water Filter is one of the highest specification whole house filtration systems available, designed to provide cleaner, better-tasting water throughout your entire home. Using three specialist filtration stages housed in large 4.5” x 10” full-flow filter housings, the system is designed to reduce PFAS, fluoride, chlorine, chloramine, heavy metals, chemicals, microplastics, bacteria and cysts while maintaining excellent water flow.

This advanced configuration combines the latest carbon adsorption, catalytic filtration and nanofibre technology to deliver high-performance water filtration at the point of entry (POE), protecting all taps, showers and appliances in the property.

For optimal performance with minimal flow impact, the system should be installed on a supply with a minimum standing pressure of 3 bar.

Three Stage Whole House Filtration

The PROMAX-III Ultimate uses a carefully designed three stage filtration process where each filter performs a specific function to reduce contaminants and improve overall water quality.

Stage 1 – Osmio F-Guard 2 Micron PFAS & Fluoride Reduction Filter

The first stage uses the Osmio F-Guard 2 micron specialist carbon filter, designed to target modern water contaminants such as PFAS (“forever chemicals”) and fluoride. The filter uses advanced adsorption media to reduce a wide range of chemicals commonly found in drinking water supplies.

Independent third-party testing shows the filter can reduce:

  • Up to 92% fluoride (including fluorosilicic acid, sodium fluorosilicate and sodium fluoride)
  • Up to 95% PFAS
  • Up to 99% PFOA & PFOS
  • Up to 99% chlorine
  • Up to 99% chloramine
  • Up to 99% lead
  • Up to 98% heavy metals
  • Up to 98% VOCs and THMs
  • Up to 98% pesticides and herbicides

The F-Guard filter has a 2 micron rating and a capacity of approximately 10,700 gallons (40,504 litres) at 1.5 GPM, making it suitable for whole house applications where both contaminant reduction and flow performance are important.

Stage 2 – 0.5 Micron Catalytic Chloramine Carbon Block

The second stage uses a 0.5 micron catalytic carbon block made from 100% coconut shell activated carbon. Catalytic carbon is highly effective at reducing chlorine and chloramine, which are widely used in municipal water treatment.

This filter helps reduce:

  • Chlorine taste and odour
  • Chloramine disinfectants
  • Organic chemical compounds
  • Unpleasant tastes and smells in water

The filter has a projected chlorine reduction capacity of over 60,000 gallons and chloramine reduction capacity of over 4,000 gallons depending on flow conditions. By reducing disinfectant chemicals, this stage helps improve water taste and protects downstream filtration.

Stage 3 – NanoCeram® 0.2 Micron Pleated Filter

The final stage uses a NanoCeram® 0.2 micron pleated filter, a high-efficiency nanofibre filtration media designed to reduce very fine particles and microorganisms.

The filter is constructed from a thermally bonded blend of micro-glass fibres and cellulose infused with nano-alumina fibres, forming an electro-positively charged filter media that captures extremely small contaminants.

This stage helps reduce:

  • Fine sediment and particulates
  • Turbidity
  • Cysts
  • Bacteria
  • Micro-particles down to 0.2 micron

Despite its fine filtration capability, the pleated design provides excellent flow rates with low pressure drop, making it suitable for whole house filtration systems.

High Flow 4.5” x 10” Full-Flow Filter Housings

The system includes three heavy duty Osmio 4.5” x 10” antibacterial filter housings with 1” brass BSP connections, designed for whole house installation where strong flow rates are required.

Maintenance

For best performance, filters should typically be replaced annually. New cartridges should be flushed for at least 10 minutes before use until water runs clear.

This system is designed for use with microbiologically safe and adequately disinfected water supplies. Performance may vary depending on source water quality, turbidity, organic content, pH and other conditions encountered in real-world installations.
